Coin is a weird character, and not just because it's playable currency. It's small, has good movement options, and a large variety of mid-range traps and projectiles. However, most of those moves, despite their decent damage, don't deal any knockback, and Coin itself is quite frail. It is certainly hard to master, and a very unorthodox character.
Neutral Special: Coin spins around rapidly while launching a barrage of 8 red coins that deal 2% each, go in slightly random directions, and deal no knockback. You can move slightly to the left / right during this attack, too. You can hold / press shield any time after 4 red coins have come out to cancel the attack early.
Side Special: Coin falls over, prompting a sneaky Bandit to pick it up and start sprinting forwards at top speed, taking Coin along for the ride and dealing major damage to anyone in their way. You can hop off the bandit any time after it starts running by moving your control stick, or pressing the attack or special buttons, and it will still be able to damage enemies. If you get hit before the Bandit starts running, however, they will sit down and sulk for a while, preventing you from calling another one until they're gone. You can only use this move while on the ground.
Up Special: Coin spins around while floating upwards, leaving a trail of other floating stationary yellow coins behind itself, these deal 1% each with no knockback. Coin also has a hitbox while spinning, but is otherwise pretty vulnerable during this recovery.
Down Special: Coin floats up and slams down onto a P-Switch, causing 6 blue coins to appear around itself, 3 on each side, that last for a while, deal 5% each, and have no knockback. This move can be done in the air, and the blue coins will float there.
Additionally: If you hold the attack button during a jab, Coin will continue spinning, producing a total of 4 more damaging coins around itself, 2 on each side. You can easily combo the first spin into 2 of the coins.
Furthermore, all of Coin's smash attacks don't deal any extra damage if you charge them, but they will still increase in knockback, and down smash's dragon coins will be launched higher into the air.
V2: Neutral Special: can now be canceled with Shield or Taunt halfway through the move (once at least 4 red coins have been sent out).
Down Special: can now freely move in the air during the start of the move (while Coin is rising).
